The "Shaker" was a famous Nantucket residence built on Brant Point in 1951. The family eventually came to outgrow the existing house and needed a larger space to accommodate their needs. Lyman Perry Architects designed a larger space for them which paid tribute to its historical heritage while allowing for a modern lifestyle. The house was situated to provide a beautiful panoramic view of Nantucket Sound.
